Newly Published: Evaluation of the EpiCore Outbreak Verification System

In 2013, together with funding from the Skoll Global Threats Fund (now Ending Pandemics), TEPHINET, the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID), ProMED-Mail, and HealthMap launched EpiCore (epicore.org), a virtual community of health professionals using innovative surveillance methods to verify outbreaks of infectious diseases.

The EpiCore project is now officially launched. This is a project that draws on the knowledge and skills of trained health professionals around the world to verify outbreaks of emerging infectious diseases using innovative surveillance methods that can help find outbreaks faster than traditional methods.
